The Basics: Food Guidelines

A few basic food guidelines to live by...

  1. Eliminate sugar - this includes all artificial sweeteners, white sugar, high fructose corn syrup, maple syrup and honey.  Don't worry we have healthy replacements for them!
  2. Eat healthy fats from grass fed butter, ghee, MCT oil, or coconut oil.
  3. Eliminate gluten.  This includes bread, cereal, and pasta.  
  4. Remove vegetable oils such as corn, soy, and canola.  
  5. Eat significant amounts of organic protein.
  6. Eliminate legumes such as beans, and lentils.  
  7. Remove all processed, homogenized, and pasteurized dairy.   Full fat, raw, whole dairy from grass-fed cows or goats.
  8. Switch to grass fed meat and wild caught seafood.  
  9. Eat pastured eggs
  10. Switch to organic fruits and vegetables.  This is more important for some plants than others.   
  11. Limit fruit consumption to 1-2 servings per day from the recommended fruit list
  12. Add spices
